Directions to the school

Ballymaloe Cookery School is located approximately 40 minutes drive from Cork City, not far from the busy East Cork town of Midleton.

It can be approached from two directions out of Midleton - by following the road signs for Castlemartyr, or alternatively by following the road signs for Cloyne and Shanagarry.

If you are using a GPS navigation systm you can use the coordinates 51.860689, -8.032253 or type in 'Shanagarry' or 'Ballymaloe Cookery School'. if you use just 'Ballymaloe' you will likely arrive at Ballymaloe House 4 miles away.

DIRECTIONS

Ireland's rural road signage can be a little confusing, even for us! Here are some straightforward directions on how to easily reach Ballymaloe Cookery School:

From Dublin

Take the M8 to Cork.
At the end of the motorway, follow road signs for N25 to Rosslare or Waterford.
Follow directions below
Take the N25 towards Cork and continue to the town of Castlemartyr.
As you enter Castlemartyr village turn left at the bridge traffic lights.
Follow this road through the villages of Ladysbridge and Garryvoe, remain on the main road (R632). A few miles after Garryvoe you will come into Shanagarry village and see a church on your left. Turn right opposite the church. The Ballymaloe Cookery School is approx 1 KM up this road on the right.

From Cork

Take N25 out of Cork in the direction of Rosslare or Waterford
After approx 15 miles bypass the town of Midleton and continue to the town of Castlemartyr.
At the end of Castlemartyr village, turn right at the bridge traffic lights.
Follow this road through the villages of Ladysbridge and Garryvoe, remain on the main road (R632).
A few miles after Garryvoe you will come into Shanagarry village and see a church on your left.
Turn right opposite the church.
The Ballymaloe Cookery School is approx 1 KM up this road on the right.

From Waterford / Rosslare

Take the N25 towards Cork and continue to the town of Castlemartyr.
